Purpose

This award will ensure that all employees are aware of their own health and safety and the safety of customers, contractors and the public. The programme will provide candidates with a good understanding and knowledge of Health and safety.

Methodology

The course is delivered as a group training session with a blend of direct trainer input and individual/group participative exercises. The training can be delivered either 'off the shelf' or on a tailored in company basis using high quality participant and trainer support materials. The programme includes a variety of training activities to ensure an interesting and enjoyable day. There will be an assessment at the end of the programme which consists of a multiple choice questionnaire in exam conditions.

Outcomes

On successful completion of the course delegates will be able to:

• Identify key hazards in their own workplace.
• Understand the importance of health and safety rules and working procedures.
