Methodology
The course is delivered as a group training session with a blend of direct trainer input and individual/group participative exercises. The training can be delivered either 'off the shelf' or on a tailored in company basis using high quality participant and trainer support materials. The programme includes a variety of training activities to ensure an interesting and enjoyable day. There will be an assessment at the end of the programme which consists of a multiple choice questionnaire in exam conditions.
Outcomes
On successful completion of the course delegates will be able to:
- Understand the law in relation to controlling conflict and violence in the workplace.
- Assess the risks of workplace conflict
- Apply methods to de-escalate confrontational situations
- Understand the importance of personal safety at work.
