BIOGRAPHY - NIGEL AMPHLETT
Nigel has twenty five years extensive experience (fifteen at Senior Management Level) successfully working for and with some of Britain's largest private sector Retail Telecommunications, Media, Service, Construction, Logistics, Banking and Automotive companies.
These include Vodafone Retail, Kingfisher/Superdrug, Carpetright and Sainsbury's. He held Learning/Training & Development Manager, Management Development Manager and Resourcing Manager positions within these companies. He has won a National Training Award, was part of Vodafone Retail's Management Board has created HR functions from 'Greenfield' situations and has managed teams of twenty people and budgets of three million.
He became a Management Consultant in January 2002 and has been working with a wide variety of organisations such as Whitbread Pubs & Restaurants, the Countryside Agency, Lafarge Aggregates, Halifax/Bank of Scotland . Tibbett & Britten/Exel, The Retail Jewellers of Ireland, Dartford Borough Council, Roland (UK) Ltd, The National Autistic Society, The National Association of Goldsmiths, Norwich Union (Aviva), Criminal Justice System (LCJB), Transport for London, Channel 4, The British Shops and Stores Association, Royal Bank of Scotland/Natwest Bank and Volkswagen UK. He is also a Registered Professional Trainer with Skillsmart Retail Ltd (The British Retail Consortium).
Nigel is an achievement orientated, pragmatic and effective consultant. He specialises in both managing Learning & Development departments and designing and delivering Learning/Training and Management Development. In particular he has a passion for people development and delivering management/behavioural skills. He brings a proven track record of implementing sustainable results and considerable facilitation skills which enable managers to explore and resolve personal and business issues so that key performance can be delivered.
Nigel is married and lives in Leicester. He joined Kingsway Training Limited as a Retail Business Consultant and Course Director in 2004.
